Scorto™ Quest Logic is a decision server,
used to process scoring requests, sent by credit inspectors
and analysts. The application selects an appropriate scoring
model from the database, processes the new incoming loan applications
or existing customer data using this model, and then returns
the scoring result to the front-end application (Scorto™
Dimension or some other front-office application, used by
the customer organization).
Scorto™ Quest Logic allows performing the following tasks:
- Loading a scoring model into the scoring system;
- Activating a scoring model;
- Automatically completing a loan application form using data from external sources;
- Retrieving and evaluating a credit request using a selected scoring model based on a set of predefined business rules;
- Receiving a formalized , comprehensive scoring result;
- Processing of the decision on the received scoring result, made by a credit inspector;
- Defining formal reasons for the possible override of the scoring result;
- Receiving and processing credit requests, sent for additional consideration to a credit analyst;
- Supporting analytical models as scoring models, developed in accordance with the PMML2.1 standard;
- Creating committees of scoring models, where several scoring models make a collective decision;
- Defining rules for the interpretation of the scoring results for each specific credit product individually;
- Defining conditions for the preliminary examination of the borrower with the help of external sources (validation against "black/white" lists);
- Defining credit policy limitations;
- Transferring data using a secure SSL protocol;
- Authorizing users with the help of trust certificates (the SSL technology);
- Monitoring the opening and closure of a credit inspector's work sessions;
- Monitoring the opening and closure of a credit analyst's work sessions;
- Monitoring all user actions;
- Logging information on the calls of the decision server methods.
Quest Logic can be installed using different access technologies,
depending on the IT infrastructure of the customer organization.
The most popular version is implemented as a web-service
that can be run on a dedicated server (or a cluster of servers)
under MS IIS. The front-office application can access the stored
scoring models through a standard web interface using a web
browser. Quest Logic processes scoring requests, sends the results
back to the credit inspector, and displays them in the web browser's
window.
Scorto™ Quest Logic is capable of processing more
than 250 transactions per second. For large banks,
the system's scalability can be improved several fold by using
advanced load-balancing hardware solutions from Array Networks
or some other providers. Quest Logic can also be easily installed
and used with a server cluster and it is fully compatible with
the Microsoft cluster solutions.
Quest Logic decision server supports the PMML2 standard, widely
accepted in the data-mining industry. Owing to its open
architecture, the software can use scoring models,
developed using any data-mining software that supports export
of models to PMML2.
