Scorto™ Strategy Maven is a powerful
desk-top software application for the creation and one-point
management of credit strategies that are used for the implementation
of the customer organization's credit policy and are deployed
on Quest Logic decision server.
The strategies, created using Strategy Maven, define the order
and business rules according to which incoming credit requests
are processed by the decision server. The application serves
as the workplace of a risk manager or credit analyst
in charge of the definition and enforcement of the corporate
credit policy.
Despite the complexity of the software's functionality that
provides the most advanced credit strategy development
methods, the GUI of the system is intuitively user
friendly.
Credit strategies are built as consecutive successions of rules
that are defined using a set of specialized nodes.
Each of the nodes is intended for the description of specific
aspect of the credit policy, for example the Customer Identification
node or the Black List node, that allow identifying the customer
and checking whether he or she is included on a "black list".
Any of the nodes has a set of parameters that can be easily
selected and modified to adjust the node to the current business
situation.
The design of the system allows quickly modifying an existing
strategy by repositioning any of the nodes and linking them
with arrows between themselves as appropriate. A created strategy
is executed in the order, defined by the linking arrows. One
credit strategy can be incorporated into another credit strategy.
The user can constantly see a list of the available
strategies and easily switch between them. He can also
view a list of the available nodes and display their parameters,
as well as select and modify them with the minimum effort.
The system can be set to automatically inform the credit inspector
in charge about the system it has made on a credit request.
The risk manager or credit analyst can use some of the available
nodes to allow the credit inspector to override the decision,
made by the system. A special comparison capability of Scorto™
Strategy Maven can be used to automatically perform a transfer
of authority based on a pre-defined criterion. The simulation
functionality of the application verifies the correctness of
the different nodes' linkage with strategy variables and that
of the user's actions before the strategy is placed on Quest
Logic server.
